Follow the progress of the expansion building work at our school.
5th October 2020
The builders are ahead of schedule and the sports hall and the new teaching block are progressing well. The floor is down in the hall and there is furniture is some of the new teaching rooms.
30th September 2020
The outside areas are beginning their transformation into playground spaces. Upstairs in the new teaching block has been painted and carpeted, the builders are now moving on to the corridor floors and then onto downstairs. They are making great progress.
15th September 2020
Progress on the building work continues on schedule. The upstairs of the new teaching block is being made ready for carpet and ceiling tiles. Underfloor heating is being laid in the sports hall in the next couple of weeks. Landscaping of the building area is beginning soon. Meanwhile staff are enjoying all the new offices in the Buzzard and Falcon blocks, as well as the spacious new staff room.
16th July 2020
Last tour for this term! The external cladding is being installed soon,, the entrance floor has been screeded, and the new SEN rooms and new staff room are taking shape.

Work has started on the new staff room and SEN offices, and continues on the new buildings.

Work on the canteen and toilets is progressing.

Work continues quickly. The former ICT room and the old canteen are now being worked on, as well as work continuing on the new buildings.

Corridor to new toilets Steel structure

The build is continuing well, with the steel structure now in place and the new kitchen area progressing well - you can see the new kitchen hatch below.

The steel frame is just the sports hall at the moment. The rest of the steel work for the classrooms will be up by next Friday.

Though the school is closed to visitors due to the coronavirus pandemic, construction work has continued and there has been a lot of progress! Thank you to all the construction workers and stay safe!

We held our ground breaking ceremony and time capsule burial today.
26th February 2020
The new MUGA is open and in use, although its lights and gates still need installing. Some lines around the court still need doing, but this requires drier weather!
Work to strip out the changing rooms and prepare for the new kitchen will hopefully start this week.

The builders are starting work on our existing hall and changing rooms.
The MUGA should be in use on our return from half term.
The builders held an assembly on 12th February to explain to our students who the members of the team are working on site and to emphasise how important it is to behave safely on and around a building site.

The piling rig leaves the site today - ahead of schedule!
Work on the MUGA is on target . The area will be tarmacked next week and the MUGA should be in use directly after half term.

The piling rig awaited from Vandyke is now on site.
Morgan Sindall are going to provide our Art & Design Technology department with some clay from the MUGA site to use in class for pottery making!

Good progress is being made on the multi use games area (MUGA) being built behind the Year 6 block.
The builders are also working on drainage issues on site and waiting to use machinery currently being used on the Vandyke building site.

The contractors have moved onto site. They are tarmacking the area behind the youth club so it can be used as a temporary play area.
